Plum Green Tea Pore Cleansing Face Wash Review

Hello, beauties!

Today I’m going to share with you my honest review of the Plum Green Tea Pore Cleansing Face Wash, which is one of my favorite products from Plum. This gel-based exfoliating face wash is specially formulated for oily and acne-prone skin, with natural ingredients that deliver amazing results.

This is a gentle and non-drying, face wash that claims to fight pimples, control excess oil, and unclog pores. Sounds amazing, right? Well, I have been using it for a month now and I’m ready to tell you all about it.

If you have been following me for a while, you know that I have oily and acne-prone skin, which is a pain in the neck.

I have heard so many rave reviews about the Plum Green Tea range, which is made for people like me who have always had breakouts here and there.

In addition, It has skin antibacterial and exfoliating components like green tea extracts, glycolic acid, and cellulose beads, which are supposed to fight inflammation, bacteria, and dead skin cells.

So, when I saw this face wash on their website, I was like, “I need this in my life!” And I decided to give it a try and see if it lives up to its hype.

Let me tell you why I love this face wash and whether I recommend it to you or not.

Let’s dive into it.

Let’s talk About the brand

First thing first, Let’s talk about The brand Plum.

Is Plum a good brand?

Good news for vegans: If you are looking for a vegan, cruelty-free, and sustainable beauty brand, plum is just for you. It is India’s first 100% vegan beauty brand that offers a range of skincare, haircare, body care, and makeup products.

Plum was first founded in 2013 in India by a former Unilever executive who wanted to create a brand that was good for people, animals, and the planet.

Plum’s main motto is “Be good” – to yourself, to the animals, and to the planet”

Thankfully the brand does not use any animal ingredients and it’s free from parabens, phthalates, sulfates, or other harmful chemicals.

Plus, it does not test any of its products on animals and is certified by PETA as animal-test-free.

So, it seems quite a good brand, and If you are a person who is against animal testing I would highly recommend Plum to you.

What is Plum Green Tea Pore Cleansing Face Wash and what it claims?

This gel-based face wash is enriched with lots of goodness that gently cleanses your pores and impurities, coupled with mild scrubbing benefits which means without harsh rubbing or tugging you can get an excellent result.

Don’t worry, it doesn’t dry out your skin because it has glycerine in it which is a skin-moisturized element that leaves your skin hydrated and soft.

What’s out: This face wash is pretty natural and gentle, so it doesn’t have any nasty stuff like parabens, phthalates, SLS, or soap. These are harsh chemicals that make your skin dehydrated and rough.

Smile at acne: The biggest claim is- that this cleanser keeps your sebum balanced, fights acne, and Soaks up extra oil without irritating your skin.

Shelf life: It lasts for 2 years from the date it was made, and use within 6 months after you open it.

Color: It’s a clear and gel-like consistency with colorful scrubbing particles. The color is FDA-approved so, it is safe for the skin.

Fragrance: Unfortunately, The face wash does contain fragrance. It’s the only drawback I notice as I’m not a big fan of fragrance. The face wash has a bit of a green tea smell, but nothing too strong or artificial. It’s actually quite nice and refreshing. It lingers on the skin for a few minutes after washing and then fades away.

Plum Green Tea Pore Cleansing Face Wash Review:

My experience:

I have been using this face wash for a month. I started using the face wash only in the morning after waking up. I massage it gently for a few seconds, focusing on the T-zone and the areas where I have blackheads and whiteheads. This face wash claims to be suitable for oily and acne-prone skin, which is true, as it suits me very well.

The first thing I noticed after using this face wash is that it leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed, without any tightness or dryness.

It does not strip away the natural oils from my skin but rather balances them and prevents excess sebum production. Plus, it does not irritate or inflame my skin, but rather soothes and calms it.

Thankfully, it does not make my pimples worse or more painful. So, definitely, it helps me to fight with pimples and heal the blemishes.

One thing to remind you, I am used to exfoliation like AHA and BHA, so this face wash was not very strong for me. And I did not notice anything bigger like “getting rid of acne, acne marks, or acne scars”. After washing my face. All I notice is that;  a good cleanser that cleanses my skin properly without being harsh.

So, it does not cure acne or vanish them completely. It is not a miracle product that will make your skin flawless overnight. It is a preventive and supportive product that helps to keep your skin clean and clear and reduces the chances of breakouts.

You still need to follow a proper skincare routine and a healthy diet to get rid of acne permanently.

Wrapping up, it has mild exfoliating properties that are suitable for daily use. If you are used to stronger exfoliants, you might not find this face wash very effective. You can use a separate exfoliator once or twice a week to get rid of the deeper layers of dirt and dead skin cells.

Will I repurchase it? Hmm, I’m not sure if I would buy this again. It’s a decent cleanser, but it doesn’t do much for my stubborn spots. I need something more potent to zap those zits away. But if you have mild acne or just want a gentle face wash, this might work for you.

Do I recommend it? yeah, I would recommend this product if you have oily and combination skin. But if you suffer from severe acne, you might need something stronger.

Rating: 3.8/ 5
